Their laughter resounds through the night
This saying introduces Anaru Paine from the Tuhoe tribe. He grew up amongst his mother’s people around Tauarau Marae in Ruatoki which is located in the Urewera region of Aotearoa New Zealand. His father is of Scottish descent.
As the introductory saying implies, Tuhoe people have a love of deep belly laughter. They will laugh at the face of darkness. Deep belly laughter is known to be one of the highest of the healing arts. It is the fastest way to erase fear. All Maori Healers featured on this website are renowned for their ability to bring forth the deep belly laughter within others.
Anaru’s passion for the healing arts was ignited by his elders. Observing, participating, learning from masters in his own extended family.

Thank you Anaru for the healing in London. I just don’t have words to say how wonderful the experience was. You just knew what I needed and there was no stopping healing from happening.

Our meeting was meant to be…….. I have been healing myself for some years at very deep levels and was looking for healing methods that would reach the areas that I could not access. Anaru and Manu Knew where to hunt! I am so glad that I was guided and made the choice to attend healing with them at Glastonbury U.K.. Their knowledge, compassion, skill and humility were a great honour to behold……
I feel wonderful, very humble and I thank you all. Deep, deep respect to you all, including the ancient ones.
