I do copious amounts of emails on a daily basis. Much of it from people I have never met. The emails contain details that are sometimes deep and intrusive for that person to be sharing, yet they are in many cases willing to expose themselves, just to get some understanding of what is happening. When we strip of all the bark so to speak of what a person is experiencing, we find that they have given up on their own inner knowing, they doubt their ability to heal themselves and they begin to feel incompetent. Tapping in to one's self, taking the time to stop and listen, self enquiry and waiting for the answer, are not prescriptions that are given out. Yet they should be. I have included in this blog parts of an email between myself and a woman wanting direction for her healing journey. I hope you enjoy the read. Parts of her email: "I've been thinking of you and so excited to see you in August. I miss the daily tips but I know you've been so busy traveling and helping so many people. When and if you have a moment I'd love to get your feedback. I've been going through a purification program which is going great (live foods, organic whole food supplements, live water and exercise). In addition to that my dr. suggested I get a sonohystrogram to look into my uterus and see if there's anything they can detect that could be suspicious. There is no gadolilium (radiation chemicals) involved in this procedure. Do you think this is something my body needs at this time or should I take the holisitic approach and let me body go through its journey. The reason I ask is when discussing this procedure with the Dr. I mentioned some of your viewpoints with the pelvic being off and if that's something to consider. His response was that is not Western practice and basically brushed the thought. This has been a very educational and emotional journey that is helping me understand soooo much. Hope you are have save travels and may your work and spirit continue to bless so many." My reply to her: "Unless Dr's have training in traditional methods, they will always brush things off like this. The pelvic area is the pivot point of so many junctions in terms of energy in our body. Like a train station it holds all the main trunk lines and so maintenance of it in todays approach is not as holistic as say dealing with the heart or lungs etc. But necessary for women for many reason, not the least being that it is the feminine storehouse of her esteem, energy and memory. I say, put your hand on your belly (pito) and ask yourself that question then when you have the answer follow that." Basically I wanted to highlight how easy it is for us, to gain power to help ourselves. At home in Aotearoa/NZ our elders would often liken themselves to the great trunks of a tree, or the canopy or something that was majestic in nature. This was a way of using creative visualisation, self meditation and focussed energy to heal oneself through the use of words and pictures in the mind.
